You never died..
You live in the hearts of a billion people

He never thought the day he turns 30 would be the last day of his life.He never knew vesting his intrests in public welfare and fighting for corruption would ravish his spirit away from this world.
You are an iconic person Mr.Satyendra Dubey (Nov 27 1973–Nov 27 2003)Born in a small village in bihar and who completed his Btech from civil engineering from IIT kanpur and Mtech from Indian Institute of Technology (BHU),he joined NHAI in 2002(National Highway Authority Of India). He was the whistle blower in exposing the financial irregularities on road mafia in Bihar. He was slained mercilessy ,shot dead for just being honest and acting as a responsible citizen. He wrote a letter to the prime minister of India asking not to reveal his identity. But the govt forwarded it directly to NHAI.How senseless. He received many threats.Despite all these he stood up for truth, for justice. So courageous to unravel the the tangled world of corrupted people and officials.Every one knew that it was a cold blooded murder.Yet CBI gave a clean chit saying it was the robberer who shot him.But all the witnesses in the case died mysteriously which just shows that it was a plotted murder which involved many seemingly famous people in society.Six years after his murder court convicted the accused. As said Justice delayed is justice denied. His murder led to several protest in India as well as other countries. But whatever happened or happens,India has lost one great person,a leader.People are indebted for his braveness and the good done to them.He is still remembered by the people. Not just Bihar,Not just India.Every person who believes in truth, who want to eradicate corruption, who want to make India proud.I salute to you.You live in the hearts of a billion people for eternity.I revere you.May your soul rest in peace.

  1. very true!!! actually i had a session on "Vigilance Awareness" during my training...there one of the chiefs happened to speak about this great lad (i would prefer to call him). "Disclosing Identity" is seriously condemned against any citizen who points out the odds against any organization. His only bad luck was the person against whom he had alleged complaints was having a very big network from top to the grass route levels in the government. Shame on our administration which has been curbed with Corruption !!!
Thanks for such a short but very responsible article as a citizen of INDIA !!! :)
