I slept off as usual by 11 o'clock.At 12 my friend woke me up and shouted happy bday...!!! I was astonished ,half asleep.My friend wished me and i've cut the cake.Got Birthday bumps too...till the candles were blown..Thanks to the Trick candles:P ..My friend got a gift pack and asked me to open blindfolded with my face dabbled in cream.I had to guess and open all of them..I missed one though..they were simple very cute.I was totally happy.She is so sweet to think of all those.I could never even get an idea to do such sweet things..
Was surprised my childhood friend from 7th gave me a call and wished despite being so busy.It was so exulting that i received calls from my friends and cousins.So YES ,people do love me.. ;) We went to IRIS Inn along with my friends at office.One more Cake and a sore back now..!!!
Ooh my whole day was like a surprise box..Yummy cake..Black current:-* And i got a pretty watch as my bday gift..:)Its soo pretty..Thanks No cream this time on my face..(was worried about my dress and glamour in pics :D)Had lunch which continued for 3 hours..Yes u heard it right..3 HOURS..(Buffet)With very good starters followed by pasta,biryani,Jamuns,Ice cream..We were just determined to finish everything..and we DID..!!!The meal was relishing.(Except for a 100 bucks for a 1/2 litre Thumps up :P) We took few snaps and we started for the ISKCON temple.There were lots of people.Probably because its Sunday.It felt great hearing the mantra as we walked past the corridor and we were surprised there were two rows.One for the darshan directly and the other queue where U reach the main temple by crossing 108 steps by chanting the mantra

We went through that way,we were given small cards in which the mantra is written and It was so good to utter them.Every one was chanting.I dont know It was so serene,Blissful as u utter it and pass by each step its like ur getting close to God.Didn't think of anything else,no worries no tensions,Just peace.Mind and Heart In tranquility.We went to the temple and.There were idols of Sri Sri Radha Krishnachandra,Sri Sri Krishna Balarama,Sri Sri Nitai Gauranga.It was such a delight to watch the altar and there were painting over the ceiling which were just awesome.I just dont have words to describe the beauty and serenity of the place.Its something u should go and watch.The palce is divine,an embodiment of love.We had darshan and then we walked along the directed way.There were lots of small shops where there were idols of Lord krishna ,T-shirts,Keychains and many other intresting things.GOt one for mom too..:)Apart from these something attracted my sight.It is "Akshaya Patra".Learned that it is an initiative of ISKCON Bangalore to provide mid-day meals in the rural schools for the under privileged children and thus support their education. The vision statement of Akshaya Patra is "No child in India shall be deprived of education because of hunger".Intresting isn't it.Working toward a good cause with out anticipating anything in return,Really appreciative.The Akshaya Patra Foundation works in partnership with the Central and various State Governments of India to provide mid-day meal to children studying in Government schools and Government-aided schools.In June 2000, the Akshayapatra Foundation started feeding 1500 children in Bangalore and today it is reaching more than 1.3 million children every day. Akshaya Patra is currently operating in 19 locations across 9 states of India and is conferred as the World’s Largest NGO-run Mid-Day Meal Program. Hope they acheive it and i definetly felt like doing something,atleast contributing something from my part for the greater good.Hope people turn up and do contribute for such self less organistaions and make india a country where no one would ever cry for Food.
The day wasnt just having fun on my bday,It wasnt just a casual visit to a temple.It made me think and I need to act by doing something.I sure would.Iam happy this thought that crept into my mind is the best gift on my bday.Made it the best.
We took few snaps and left for our Pg and there comes the end of the day..Uff no..!!!dabbled cream all over my face..Again..!!(they saved it for the end of the day)God..!!! Friends always do have some creepy ideas..!!!And day ends with a heavy downpour of rain lightening and thunders.:)
